Story bends according to your choices

Player decisions influence the direction of the narrative, shaping Chloe's relationships and determining which paths and endings become available. Each choice reflects a decision about what matters more to her: uncovering the truth or protecting her position.

Find the truth

With no clear memory of her past, Chloe must piece together the secrets surrounding her powerful family. Every discovery forces her to reconsider what she knows about the people closest to her—and what she wants to do with the truth.

Interpret the past

Memories rarely tell the whole story. As Chloe uncovers fragments of her past, she must interpret the evidence, question people's intentions, and decide which version of events to believe. The same discovery can become a tool for exposing the truth—or protecting the family she once belonged to.

Pamela smith - Assalut case

Chloe recalls a confrontation with a woman who accused one of Chloe's brothers of assaulting her husband. During the conversation, the player must decide how Chloe responds to the accusation, influencing which aspects of the incident she pursues and how the situation develops. The scene branches according to the player's dialogue choice:Option A — Pursue the truth: Chloe asks which brother was involved, opening a path toward discovering what really happened and bringing her closer to the "Reveal the Truth" ending.Option B — Protect her position: Chloe dismisses the accusation, setting her on a path that prioritises her public standing and moves the story closer to the "Career" ending.

Chloe (calm, dry):
“Encounters with my siblings rarely end well.”
Woman:
“He was beaten. Severely. He’s still in intensive care.”
(Emotion begins to break through—anger and fear mixing together.)
Chloe
A. “Which brother?” → (Truth path)
B. “Why should I care?” → (Career path)

Narrative Design Principles

Choices with meaning: Player decisions reflect Chloe's priorities and influence the direction of the narrative.Consequences beyond the moment: Decisions can affect later story developments and the paths available to the player.Story through discovery: Investigations, dialogue, and cutscenes reveal information about the characters and their past.Conflicting motivations: The narrative challenges the player to weigh personal ambition against the pursuit of truth.
